street photography, colorful images with high contrast and shadows in Ethiopia, Africa, by ivan Margot

Ethiopia A photography project by Ivan Margot

“In the streets of Harar, eastern Ethiopia, time seems to have stopped. This fascinating place gives you the impression of being at the end of the world. The song of the muezzin resonates in the fourth holy city of Islam, the city of Harar.

A spiritual and cultural crossroads of Africa, with its brightly painted facades and old mosques, I was determined to know this legendary place on the edge of the Danakil desert, made famous by the writings of the poet Arthur Rimbaud. Full of mysteries and colours, Harar is the joy of any photographer.”
