Jury's Feedback
1ST PRIZE: Davide Albani
โTo me, this photograph tells stories, and the main one is told by the older woman pointing: she looks like a sorceress who is about to cast a spell on the land; Photographs like this one are not easy to do and even if this one is not perfect, I think the photographer has done a very good job.โ โ Bruce Gilden
2ND PRIZE: Valentine de Villemeur
โI thought that this photograph could have been a scene in the film Au Revoir Les Enfants by Louis Malle. I didnโt like the film but this image has an old fashioned feel to it that I like, and the photographer captured the moment by placing herself at the right spot to achieve the result.โ โ Bruce Gilden
3RD PRIZE: Francesco Gioia
โTight framing, excellent timing, and a painters-eye for color synergize to engender an arresting, theatrical composition, rich in texture and tone, that immediately brings to mind the work of street photography icons, Martin Parr, and competition judge Bruce Gildenโ โ The Independent Photographer Editors
