    In Cuba, people who live on the countryside and work the land are usually referred to as "Guajiros". I spent a day with a guajiro family, which has been working the land for over 4 generations in the valley of Viรฑales, an area designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, traditional techniques are still in use for agricultural production, particularly of tobacco. ยฉ Carlos Antonorsi

    "Geisha are a symbol of Japanese culture, instantly recognizable around the world. Several trips to Japan, a lot of negotiation and a close relation with the right people were necessary to finally be allowed into this mystical and secret world, exclusively reserved to the elite.
    For this series I wanted to transposed my western visual culture on Japanese culture by playing with shadow and light, often pictorially. The project is still in progress." ยฉ Anoush Abrar

I spent a day with a guajiro family, which has been working the land for over 4 generations in the valley of Viรฑales, an area designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
